Where leaders go beyond the bottom line
From exploring systems that shape economies and the global society to studying how decisions are made and organizations are led, the School of Business, Policy, and Ethics prepares thought-leaders across all industries. Partnering with professors committed to their personal and professional success, students dig deep in a synthesized learning environment, one reflective of the operational efficiency expected in the post-graduate world. Leveraging Wittenberg’s broad-based, liberal arts education, the school encourages diverse perspectives, bold questions, and strategic thinking, all with ethical responsibility at its core.
In this school, students have considered the ramifications of public-private partnerships, the management of risk, and resilience amid crises, the nature of inclusivity in economic and political development, and the power of collective deliberation. They ask questions around how decisions can potentially cause harm? Where the line stands between moral judgment and fiduciary responsibility? How can an organization create sustainable value? Where does one’s intention originate?
Leading the School of Business, Policy, and Ethics is Ross Jackson, associate professor of business & economics, and the first director for Wittenberg’s graduate program in analytics. An interdisciplinary organizational theorist whose scholarship combines critical management theory, existential philosophy, and textual analysis, Jackson brings 20+ years of experience as a defense analyst, who led increasingly complex research efforts.
